CABJ will host "Overcoming Adversity with Diversity" its 14th annual Media Awards and Scholarship Fundraiser.

Background: In addition to handing out seven individual media awards, CABJ will also award 23 Scribes in Excellence (SIE) awards to recognize outstanding, positive coverage of African Americans and issues of special concern to the African American community. The competition is open to all television, radio, and print journalists, photo journalists and public relations and/or advertising professionals regardless of race or ethnicity.
Tickets: $50 per person (payable at the door), or
